We understand that not all Forces will be in the same place in their improvement journey nor have the same resources available to them to drive the degree of change wanted. Most continuous improvement activities will be resourced internally and directed toward your Chief Constables delivery plan. So our offer is to support your resources to get your contact centre where you want it to be in a way that ensures business continuity, sustainability and strategic ambition. THRIVE Facilitation is not about offering a one size fits all product or model, what we are offering is the pragmatic skill, knowledge and experience born out of leading a successful continuous improvement programme that helped transform the performance and quality of a struggling contact centre in a large Force. THRIVE Facilitation can support your improvement journey to meet your strategic and operational aims and objectives. Examples of what we can do are:-

Evaluating your programme for readiness, viability and risk. We can carry out an independent ‘critical friend’ review of your programme pre initiation. This will evaluate whether your programme has covered the bases, has a viable ‘theory of change’, is asking the right questions, has identified viable measures and benefits, has the right resources in place, considered all the potential risks and issues and has the right governance and leadership in place.

Programme Start Up. We can support your programme from business case to initial operation by bringing clarity and focus to your programme organisation and planning, benefits and measures planning, stakeholder and staff engagement and governance set up and support.

Supporting the Programme. Once the programme is up and running, unforeseen issues can impact on progress. These can include 'group think’, ‘symptom solving’ rather than systems understanding and change, becoming locked onto a single solution such as ‘more resources will solve this’ and a failure to measure whether the intended benefits are being realised. Independent mentoring for your change team will assist in maintaining programme grip and focus, thereby maintaining direction and progress. Mentoring will assist with problem solving and reframing challenges and issues, as well as skilling your staff with knowledge and experience that can be utilised in other sectors of your operation.

I have delivered strategic system change, improvement and innovation at a senior management level in Policing, statutory and third sector Children’s Social Services, Higher Education, Welsh Government and independent consultancy. For the past seven years, I have worked with South Wales Police on a number of high profile and complex change and improvement programmes, the most recent as the lead manager for the delivery of a whole systems improvement programme in the Force contact centre. This encompassed a management restructure, operational practice, process and policy change, preparation of technology introduction and a new service operating model.
